COLOMBIA · FAITH PUT INTO ACTION

Love is something we do.
Let’s put it in motion.

A family rebuilding their home. A young person staying in school. A community initiative able to keep going. That is the future we want to build with you.

We are a Christian foundation supporting established community initiatives and running our own education and housing projects.

Goals for our new chapter, not funds already raised or results achieved. Delivery depends on available resources and the assessment of each project.

HOW WE HELP

Backing the people
already doing the work.

People who live and serve within a community understand its needs. We seek trusted initiatives, get to know their teams and provide resources to help them continue.

Our Christian faith inspires service, generosity and respect for every person’s dignity. Receiving support does not require a particular religious identity.

01

Understand

We learn about the need, the organization’s track record and its relationship with the community. We visit whenever possible.

02

Support

We direct resources toward specific purposes through partner organizations or our own projects.

03

Stay connected

We maintain close relationships and value accountability and continuity.

ALREADY IN MOTION

Lasting commitments.

Our scholarships and institutional support

Education and inclusion

We fund secondary school and university scholarships. Payments go directly to educational institutions. We also support Colegio Filadelfia para Sordos, a school for deaf students and a cause close to our hearts.

Missions and communities

We support Christian ministries working with vulnerable and Indigenous communities, including communities in Vaupés. We help sustain their presence, social work and ministry.

OUR ROOTS

New steps.
Deep roots.

1983 · A response that began with a family. The story of Amor en Marcha begins with the Christian conviction of its founder, Pastor Igna de Suárez: to respond through practical action to the needs of people nearby. Together with her husband and children, she began supporting families who lacked the resources to meet their basic needs.

Help took the form each household needed: food, clothing, household items, financial contributions or health-related support. Over time, others joined through volunteering and donations. Susan Combs has been part of this journey, steadily and quietly supporting the work.

1999 · A new chapter in El Codito. Work in this neighborhood in northern Bogotá deepened our connections with families and communities facing hardship. These relationships helped us understand specific needs and brought more people into the work. This family history predates the legal establishment of the foundation, registered with the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce in 2008.

A way of serving that has evolved. Over the years, our work has included secondary school and university scholarships, support for Colegio Filadelfia para Sordos, backing for missions in Vaupés, Christmas gifts and clothing, and one home built through our own housing work. Each responds to a different need; all share a commitment to people and their families.

Experience also shaped how we help today: getting to know and strengthening organizations and ministries already present within communities. We combine that support with our own projects, especially scholarships, recognizing the knowledge and abilities of those who work in these communities every day.

Amor en Marcha · The same story, new steps. Our public identity connects our journey so far with what we want to build next. Our legal entity remains Fundación La Casa del Padre. We retain our Christian roots and historical relationship with the church, while remaining legally, administratively and financially independent. Our next chapter aims to expand scholarships, resume housing work and sustain more community initiatives with the support of new donors.
